Kate Sala completed her final year of a Bachelor of Design (Fashion) degree at RMIT University with First Class Honours in December 2010. In early 2011, Sala was invited to join 11 Australian Design Graduates, selected from across the country, to showcase her final year collection SPECTRUM. This was presented within the National Graduate Showcase during Melbourne Fashion Festival, March 2011.
In April 2011, Sala moved from Melbourne to Paris with the aim to expand her knowledge base through completing Internships within various fashion practices during the year. Sala has worked within a creative agency, magazine, design production and in a visual merchandising role whilst living in Paris for a range of different companies. In September, 2011, Sala was published in VOGUE Italia's September Issue as one of the emerging New Young Talent's.
In January 2012, Sala committed to a placement with designer Bruno Pieters and his new company 'Honest by', in Antwerp, Belgium. Sala is currently living in Antwerp, and holds the role of General Manager at Honest by / Bruno Pieters bvba. in Antwerp, Belgium.
