Katarzyna Thomas (Kas) is a 2022 graduate of fashion design at MSKPU, based in Basel, Switzerland, with significant professional experience in graphic design. Kas has a very unique vision of the world and fashion, as she was born on the spectrum and diagnosed late in life, after decades of trying to fit into a world driven by principles and values she does not agree with. She was shortlisted in ARTSTHREAD GLOBAL DESIGN GRADUATE SHOW 2022 in collaboration with GUCCI in Category Fashion/ Textiles/ Accessories, specialism: Textiles Knit/ Weave.

OUTSIDERS OR CULTURE CONVEYORS

Graduation collection “Outsiders or culture conveyors” was shortlisted in 2022 ARTSTHREAD Global Design Graduate Show in collaboration with GUCCI in category Fashion/ textiles/ accessories, specialism: Textiles knit/ weave.

It is an artistic statement in support of cultural inclusion, with four out of six silhouettes woven by the designer on a hand loom. It has won 1st prize best project award at MSKPU graduation show from IADE Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication in Lisbon. It was featured on two pages in 2022 November edition of GLAMOUR Poland.
