After graduating with a business degree, Kari discovered her true love for fashion and shoes. Deciding to focus on her passion for design, Kari went on to hone her fashion credentials at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, London College of Fashion and the prestigious Cordwainer’s College. During this time Kari gained extensive experience in mastering the intricacies and precision involved in creating the perfect shoe.
Gaining experience at Alexander McQueen and styling many New York Fashion Week shows for Oscar de la Renta, Vivienne Tam, Derek Lam, Jeremy Scott to name just a few, Kari developed an exquisite eye for detail with glamorous design. Combining her natural creative flair with expert craftsmanship, Kari launched her eponymous label in 2013.
Kari C. designs are inspired by life and the bold inspiring women who wear her beautiful creations. Kari’s international background influences her approach to design; fusing textures, bold colours, crystals and embellishments which are characteristic of Eastern style, complemented by sleeker silhouettes favoured in Western fashion.
Kari’s extensive knowledge and technical expertise is reflected in her design philosophy, exceptionally crafted shoes with artisanal details.
