JULY LI Studio

JULY LI Studio is a New York City based fashion and knitwear design studio founded by designer July Li, specializing in innovative knitting manipulations, textile development, and quality craftsmanship. Freedom of self-expression and authenticity is an ongoing reference for JULY LI. Beauty is not created, but expressed in the choice of forms.

July has a wide spectrum of creative expertises. Graduated from Zhejiang University, California College of the Arts, July majored in industrial design, and MBA in design strategy. Her design work (Bubble Toothbrush and First Aid Blanket) won the Red Dot Design Award 2015: Best of Best. July decided to follow her passion and first came to New York in 2019 to study in Parsons, where she discovered her love for textile and the endless possibilities and innovation that knitwear could bring. July dropped from Parsons during the pandemic to create her own line. She takes inspiration from the nature, transfers the daily mundanes and emotions into her work.
