Danish designer Julie Thornberg-Thorsoe graduated with masters in Fashion Design at Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts after completing a tailor education. Her work focuses on creating emotional atmospheres and developing clothes that harness the value of time. Worldly travels, studies of sustainable aesthetics and the contrasts in life have inspired Julie’s recent collection, I AM.

This work is a reflection upon the contrasts existing within life and inspired by poetry of Tove Ditlevsen. The collection focuses on creating longer use life of fashion garments. The hourglass turns with every stitch embodying the element of time through handwork and embroidery establishing a value of time to achieve aesthetic sustainability.
