Josefine Neumann is a Swedish MA Fashion Design student, currently based in Borås at The Swedish School of Textiles.

The core of her practice is up-cycling, meaning both physical material and the themes and topics for her work. With a focus on humor and nostalgia, she uses her own as well as others’ memories to give them new settings and values, by the means of a deep interest in both physical and psychological memories.

She aims to place her work in the intersection of fashion, costume and performance wear, and art, by challenging the way garments are perceived and their aesthetic functions.

She is committed to involvement in a wide spectrum of creativity, both in the early conceptualization, the practical execution and the visual communication of her own and others’ work.
