This work from is an examination of gender roles and the individual's sense of self regarding to it.
Who am I and where do I fit in? Do I fit in at all?
What am I allowed to do, what am I supposed to do, what is expected of me?
The gender role seems to be straightforward; the expectations regarding it as well. But only at first sight.
What if I don't fit in? What if everything is contradicting?
How should I behave? Who am I supposed to be if the image the world has got does not match the image in the mirror?
This work is about contradictions that tear apart until everything that's left is just confusion.
And it is about discovering your own position within all these different images, all these voices, all these opinions.
