'Tray Tables & Set Backs', a collection inspired by a trip to Europe, a trip that took us to a family wedding in blustery Brighton, to red light districts, to business districts, to galleries, to a seafood restaurant in Amsterdam and to cut price supermarket chain 'Lidl'.

It's about the wonder of travel and the inspiration that can lie in the most mundane of things. Right now the very concept of international travel, especially remembering the relative ease of it all, feels almost mythical.

The collection started with a photo I took on a disposable camera in Soho, London, of a rickshaw decked out in red fun fur, LED’s and 3 mirror balls - the surreal nature of the photo, it’s campness and strange beauty became a comer stone for the collection.

The other fabric print and the motif in our knitwear were the result of a collaboration with my boyfriend, artist Daniel John Corbett Sanders - for a collection about a trip we took together who else would I collaborate with? His fabric print is inspired by the Rote Flora, a former theatre in the Sternschanze quarter in Hamburg, a building now covered in brightly coloured graffiti. The fabric similarly appears graffiti’d with seemingly random elements crudely taped to crumpled paper - elements such as metal twist ties, chux cloths, coffee stains, straws, popsicle sticks, and scribbled out sale stickers.
