Jessica specialises in both Womenswear and Textile design.

Jessica is continually inspired by the possibilities when designing fabric and clothing. Using craft and tradition as a common starting point, she endeavours to develop her own innovative and contemporary representations with a particular focus on the use of colour, texture and print.

Jessica was awarded the LVMH Grand Prix Scholarship in 2012 amongst other awards.

Jessica has to date gained experience working at such fashion houses as Celine, Christopher Kane, Diane Von Furstenberg, Mulberry, Marios Schwab and Giles.

Graduate Collection Look Book

This is my graduate collection which was shown at the Central St. Martins press show in 2012.

My final collection was inspired by the evolution of the flower power movement and it's true meaning. I loved learning about how the aggressive mood of anti vietnam war riots was diffused by protesters distributing flowers.

In my work i like to combine 'opposites' and juxtapose ideas. With flower power as a starting point, i was able to reference something a bit 'naf' and ugly (camouflage) with something more tasteful and beautiful.

I wanted to reference psychedelia and optical patterns in a contemporary way with a strong emphasis on the use of and innovation of craft. To do this, i developed a method of drawing threads from fabric, then printing on to the material to create textiles that can positioned to create undulating, 3-dimensional patterns on fabric.
