Jenny Araskog has drawn inspiration from the collision between Nature and Civilization to create a collection that projects strength and confidence.
Through the balance between structural tailoring, traditional leather craftsmanship and soft lines she delivers a powerful yet feminine collection with an undercurrent of discreet sex appeal.
Key pieces include a floor length architectural jump suit that leaves the back exposed, a cocoon like cashmere cape and high waisted leather hot-pants with laser cut details that evoke the playful dapple of sunlight through distant branches. The belts cinch just under the bust and creates an elongated body, and waists are defined in juxtaposition to the re-occurring broad shoulders.
Flashes of coral and tan surprises and perfectly compliments the otherwise blue hued collection of leather, viscose blended cotton, cashmere-wool and grosgrain.
During her creative process she imagined the collision between the two forces as a battle, and the designs hint at both urban armour and natural camouflage, projecting the unique blend of menace and fragility that comes from being both the hunter and the hunted.
