Ivan Almeida

Even though he had made a quick stop at the Architecture Faculty of the University of Lisbon, it was in Oporto that Ivan Almeida started his first steps in Fashion. In this town, besides attending the Fashion Design course at Modatex Porto, he had the opportunity to participate in some contests, such as: Skills Portugal 2012, where he won 2nd place, ACROBATIC 2012, where he was the winner of Prémio Público (Public Award), Triumph Inspiration Awards 2012, Jovens Criadores 2012 (Creative Youngsters 2012) and FabPrint 2013.
Alongside the contests, this designer has worked with THE x MODATEX partnership and has been an assistant of Ricardo Dourado, a Fashion Designer, for his SS 2013 and FW 2013/2014 collection.
Recently, Ivan took an intership at PETRATEX enterprise and joined the group of MODATEX school at BLOOM space of Portugal Fashion, where his SS 2014 collection was exhibited.
