ISADORA SCIMECA

Isadora Scimeca has recently graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design specializing in Knitwear. She has also studied abroad at Politecnico di Milano. While studying in Milan she was able to gain a broader concept of design, especially with knitwear. Inspired by various environments, her knitwear designs have conveyed three dimensional texture and natural shaped silhouettes. Isadora has been consistent with her use of natural materials such as cotton, wool and silk yarns that she has hand dyed to bright vibrant colors. With both her knowledge of machine and hand knitting she is able to experiment using multiple techniques. As her future grows, Isadora continues to find her path and explore it all.
