INK & Silk

Ink & Silk is the creation of Artist and Milliner Holly Kennedy, it was born out of the realisation she wanted to design and print her own fabrics. Working mainly on heavy Fabriano paper using acrylic inks, paints, handmade stencils and lino cuts, oil pastels and ballpoint pens, Holly's focus is on colour, mark making and abstracted interpretations of the botanical world around her. Original abstract ink and oil paintings are transformed into vibrant textiles and unique accessories from silk scarves and leather bags to art prints. Inspired by flowers and foliage, textures and vibrant hues and the beautiful natural patterns that nature offers. The creation of each collection starts with the creation of a large painting and from there designing the accessories with the printed artwork.
