IKNOWBETTER is a boutique brand that redefines luxury as a sustainable lifestyle. They make reversible casual luxury wear for your everyday life for conscious consumers. IKNOWBETTER designs are unique, versatile, and trans-seasonal. They strike the perfect balance between desirability and sustainability. The brand started with the love for architecture. You must wonder what does architecture has to do with fashion? Ironic, right? Not really. They say when you want something, the whole universe conspires to make it happen and that’s what happened with the Romanian sister duo, Irina and Ioana. Both of them are architects and were working in Shanghai. While Irina is detail-oriented, Ioana is in love with analogue photography. While in Shanghai, they discovered silk and were completely mesmerized by it. They started wearing so much silk that they finally decided to work with it. That’s when IKNOWBETTER was born. They took this incredible fabric and applied their architectural thinking to create a brand that’s not just design-centric, but also sustainable and timeless.
Their architectural background steps in the contemporary minimalistic designs that have a touch of unusual elegance, sexiness, nostalgia, and futuristic twists. Their sense of perfection is evident in the way they design their clothes and accessories. The brand clearly narrates the sisters’ stories. Whenever we talk about sustainable fashion, we mostly focus on what one should buy, rather than how can we prolong the lives of the clothes we already own. While most of the fashion industry’s efforts to minimize waste focus on manufacturing, the design process itself is also a significant source of waste.
IKNOWBETTER understood this well and came up with their own signature style - the reversible dress. They see it as a metaphor for responsibility in fashion - buy less (two in one) and scarcely (high quality that lasts long). Reversibility clearly became their signature and is the DNA of the brand.
Their exquisite craftsmanship, seamless details, and execution are so well carried out, that the products can be worn inside out. 100% Reversible. 100% silk. This collection is all about the constant need of improvement, of being and making better, looking ahead to see the future of fashion and our planet. It speaks about us as designers and about our clients, people who know better and whom we admire as well. WE STARTED OUT DESIGNING DAYWEAR SILK GARMENTS, with the strong wish to bring this amazing fabric in the streets, at the office, in cafees and on travels. In long process of developing and constantly improving our first products we always tried to get a sense of perfection in a piece of clothing, in its execution, in the seamless details and exquisite craftsmanship, so that you will love your garment inside out. At some point, the execution and details were so well made, that we realised our pieces could be worn on both sides. So they became fully reversible.

This WHOLE CONCEPT OF Reversibility translated into a collection of pieces that we aim to be:

desirable - The reversible feature enables you to have fun, to wear and love them inside out;

versatile - They are multi-purpose items, you can switch to a different mood or occasion easily, they simplify your day to evening outfit strategy and help you make a more efficient outfits planning;
