Igdaliah is from the small island of St. John in the U.S Virgin Islands and is a recent graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She started drawing at a very young age and sewing since she was seven. Since then, she has gained the drive to pursue fashion design, fibers, and fine art. She has left SCAD with a B.F.A in fashion design with focus in street and resort wear for both women’s and men’s markets.

Iggy has a great appreciation for the art of making a garment; hand stitched, couture, and also a love for denim and other practical fabrics that we use day to day. Many of her concepts tend to bring unpopular opinions to light and in the forefront of fashion. Coming from a Caribbean background, she’s usually inspired by her own culture and the cultures of others. Traveling and learning about other places traditions, dress, foods, practices, and religions have heavily influenced her work. Besides fashion, Iggy is interested in learning all art forms like architecture, music, stain glass work, and especially photography.

In 2019 she founded her name sake brand. IGDALYAH is an indie ready-to-wear brand who challenges the rules of fashion while bringing unpopular opinions to light and to the forefront of the industry. Engraved in our identity, we strive for a unique design aesthetic that will contribute to the ongoing fashion conversation. We quality check our products to be sustainable and produced ethically. Every piece is made with care, thought, time, and consideration for each client.
