This collection developed from an investigation into the contemporary relationship between humans and their visual identity. Studying how we as a species construct abstract simulated versions of ourselves which we present to others. In hopes of understanding why this ‘self-distortion’ and removal of our own social context occurs, the early research stages of this project focused on compiling and studying a collection of visual distortions of the body.
