Hellen Van Rees

Hellen van Rees is a Dutch fashion designer who launched an eponymous label back in 2012 upon her graduation from the prestigious MA at Central Saint Matins in London. Prior to that Hellen van Rees achieved a BA in Fashion Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
During her studies she experimented wildly with shapes, techniques and different materials, A passion for textures and contrast lies in the heart of her work. Next to that a consciousness and sensitivity to the environment and critical approach to consumerism play an important part in her work.
Hellen van Rees is an innovative fashion label that offers high-end contemporary womenswear alongside an accessories and interiors range. It is an environmentally conscious brand that uses organic textiles and production leftovers for creation of its garments. Most of the production is done sustainably. We strive to offer our consumers a complete world of Hellen van Rees brand and develop our brand into something more than just clothing. Next to the elaborate handmade collections there is a diffusion line with new pieces added each season.

The brand offers avant-garde, based on traditional silhouettes and garment shapes, featuring unique textiles, hand-made fabrics, contrasting textures and innovative finishes. Hellen van Rees creates completely unique fabrics and garments that don’t compare to anything else out there. The collections feature signature handmade Chanel inspired tweed fabrics. Also reinterpreted futuristic designs and sometimes with 3D elements inspired by contemporary art installations.
