This was followed by freelance work for the Bridal company Sarah Banks Bridal Couture, from pattern cutting to beading, to being very close with Sarah herself and helping in the design and making process.

After this, within the fashion industry, Hector Maclean proceeded to study Fashion Design Womanswear at the University of Creative Art while still freelancing for Sarah Banks.

In the summer of 2011 he worked on the 2012 Spring/Summer collection for Vivienne Westwood, helping make the collection for both London Fashion Week as well as Paris Fashion Week where he attended both shows, assisting and being part of the very close team.

This proceeded the second summer, working for the well-established label of Jonathan Saunders. Working in the production department as well as archive and really seeing how the label is run.

Whilst in the final year of his university, Hector also worked for the label Mark Fast in the studio as well as helping backstage for 2 seasons.

Occasionally freelancing for various brands, Hector Maclean the label is running well, selling on a few specific websites, but the future is looking bright.
