Irreverent, unisex and transparently made jewellery in solid recycled silver and gold
Harriet Morris Jewellery began in fantasyland San Miguel de Allende, in the central highlands of Mexico where I lived for 4 years. Here I studied with Maestro and reprobate Billy King before building my own workshop and showing at Caravana Americana and Zona Maco in Mexico City.
I come to jewellery design from an academic start at Cambridge and an early career in set and costume design for spectacles such as the London 2020 Olympic Ceremonies.
This experience of culture clash is my playground:
academia/entertainment
Mexico/UK
tradition/irreverence
In November 2020 I completed the Goldsmith Centre’s business incubator scheme Setting Out during which I developed and launched my Relics collection.
Transparency in both process and production is important to me. I use metals that are recycled and all the Smoky Quartz used in my Relics collection has been carefully sourced from end-of-line stock that once I’ve used, will not be replaced.
