Since I can remember my life evolves around jewellery and jewellery design, however, in the last two years I dared to take a walk »along the edge«. Individual pieces of my jewellery are quite massive and are basically sculptures in their essence, but can easily be worn as jewellery. The ultimate objective and the greatest challenge of my experimenting with ceramics is to achieve that rigid and sometimes even robust designs in exaggerated dimensions serve to decorate and embellish the human body. So far I have designed two cohesive collections – last year the Geometric/Organic Collection and recently the Forminora Collection, which will also be exhibited at the Month of Design 2011 in Ljubljana. Both collections incorporate a considerable shift from the established jewellery design to the experimental design. At the same time my collections pay respect to the mother nature, especially to the fire, which is my associate and my best friend in the process of my art design. Ceramics is my medium and it spells with a capital C – it is the basic substance and the source of my art allowing me to execute a variety of unpredictable metamorphoses that I find extremely challenging and that stimulate me to create and design. I pursue pure and clean-cut designs, but despite my careful and thorough approach to the making of my jewellery all pieces have a personal touch – designer’s fingerprint, my own fingerprint.
