Hajin is Korean designer who enjoyed a diversity of experiences and exposure to the global culture that shaped her unique view on art, architecture, and fashion. Her work derives from a personal exploration of art, photography, and appropriation of unconventional materials. She’s a skilled draper and creative pattern maker with and eye for dynamic silhouettes with architectural and sculptural perspective. Hajin creates raw industrial aesthetic to represent the urban environments where she grew up in and reflect on metropolitan societies that fascinates her. Urban landscape continuously changes, cities being re-planned, torn down and rebuilt. With them change their inhabitants and therefore fashion. Hajin brings architectural building construction directly into fashion, introducing materials and bonding (constructions) methods rather found on a construction site than in a fashion atelier. This represents the unique aspect of fashion design by using unconventional materials and dynamic of textiles. Her goal is to approach diversity in design aspect with unlimited, unconventional materiality and textiles. Future fashion vision is to visualize and show the diverse form of artistic view through fashion.
