With a clear vision, Haal Inc. was created as an experimental, abaya-creating sister of Sotra. Launched exclusively as a retail concept in 2010 with just two toned-down black abaya designs, one smooth and one textured. Since its humble beginnings Haal Inc. has expanded to opening its own store, yet material still has a central role in each collection. Treating the abaya as an outerwear item to accentuate a woman, rather than conceal, beautiful flowing lines are created by the best Italian, French, and Spanish materials.
The Ramadan/Eid collection 2015 took on a neutral color palette of black, ivory, beige, and taupe with a strong focus on sleeve detail. Tweed embroidered with pearls and crepe dechine, the brand likes to play on the contrast between hard and soft. They feel that the abaya is the contemporary superhero’s cape and observe “who can argue women aren't the modern day superhero.”
