A good garment allows the wearer to feel a sensation of comfort. A well tailored garment reacts to the human form carefully following the subtle curves of the body. The translation from flat patterns to draped form yields exciting yet unexpected results, by incorporating this technique into my own design process I gain new insights into the realities of 3D space. My garments, strive to achieve credibility through emotional impact, working towards the perfect balance of visual and systematic qualities. My understanding of chaos and theory within concepts produces a satisfying skill set to be multi-disciplined.

Our Epigenomes

Identical twins begin their lives in a very similar fashion, with nearly identical genomes inherited from their parents. The Our Epigenomes collection stems from a culmination of life experience. Although we are very close as identical twins and share much of the same genome, my sister and I couldn't be more unique. A lifetime of differing experiences has caused certain traits to develop, uniquely conditioning each of us to our respective environments. Epigenomes are trait differences not caused by DNA, epigenetic modification is occurs slowly, over a lifetime due to these differing experiences.
The collection features unisex articles of clothing with a focus on functionality and aesthetics informed by careful a investigation into the finer details of genetic systems. I combined this research with my own visual style in order to yield the Our Epigenomes Collection.
