GOD FORBID FASHION

With God forbid, designer Pieter Van den Zegel brings new life to his teenage dream.
Having graduated as a costume designer, experienced in Opera, ballet and film, Pieter is a true craftsman and creates his garments by hand. The results are highly personal, unique, yet very wearable items. Being fond of dyeing fabrics, he developed a technique to put abstract, symmetrical prints on fabrics. It was this technique that made him decide to launch a fashion label and sustain production. The label started off with a collection of unique tshirts, later they showed a larger range, with also sweaters, dresses and headwear. The main focus of the label is comfortable street wear, the clothes u love to wear every day. The God forbid-customers have proven to be ageless, but they all have one thing in common: they have a personality.

"I have no education in fashion. It gives me a unique point of view. When I am working, I just ask myself: Would u wear it? The answer is yes. Yes! Yes! Yes!"
