Passion, research and dedication. These are the words that best describe Giulia's attitude towards his creations: contemporary ornaments handmade with fine recovery leather. Unique pieces that seem to come from a submerged imaginary made by ink, deep dimmed lights and velvety fluids of swamp. A style in the middle between the modern decadence, characterized by waves, drapes and soft lines and the tribal, with thin, suffused fetish calls: a style in which the concept of "accessory" seems to vanish, leaving in its place the idea of ornament as a great protagonist.

Born in Bologna in 1980, after a degree in Architecture at the University of Florence, Giulia started working as architect but, at the same time, she carries on for years her great passion: the creation of jewelry and accessories. From 2006 to 2011, she works both as jewelry deisgner and architect, sure to grow professionally thanks to the reciprocal contamination of two experiences. 2011 is a decisive year: Giulia lives in San Francisco for months, during which she has the opportunity to do a lot of research and follow various workshops about metalworking and other alternative materials.
Back in Italy, she decided to devote herself fully to this incredible world, putting aside the profession of architect and, in July 2012, she opened her own atelier in Bologna. Thanks to the growing interest from buyers, press and insiders, Giulia Boccafogli collections are currently distributed in several boutiques in Italy and in many countries including Japan, Switzerland, Senegal, Turkey, Mexico, Ireland, Australia, Austria, Colombia and others.
Since January 2015 the atelier / showroom of Giulia Boccafogli is located in Como.

FLORILEGIUM

An anthology of ornaments inspired by the floral world, in its most romantic and decadent sense.
This is, in short, the new FLORILEGIUM collection. A walk among the flowers, in a garden made of anemones, lilies and sinuous climbing plants where, however, the dim light of the twilight and the timid light of dawn prevail.
The natural elements are interpreted in a personal way and, contrary to what usually happens in an herbarium, there is nothing of a didactic. The colors are graphic peaks inside of stylized ink marks: it is therefore black, once again, that governs the overall chromatic impact. The result is a powerful and not taken for granted collection, perfectly in line with thedesigner’s style.

"It was a long time since I had this collection closed in my notebook of " I will ". Among my childhood passions there is botany: I have several books about flowers and their meaning and among my favorite destinations, when I can travel, there are gardens, of all kinds. With this collection I start to draw up my personal Herbarium, my Florilegium, and I draw it sitting on an old stone bench in a garden that exists exclusively between twilight and dawn. I am a spectator of amazing events, almost like in a Shakespearean midsummer night. "
