At the helm of FYU Paris is Clementine Fenton-Yon, a creative force who, over the years has used her passions - fashion, languages, design, branding, philanthropy - to instigate and inspire change.

Inclusivity in fashion has been important to Clementine since childhood - Never comfortable with the typical gender stereotypes presented in fashion, she questioned society’s obsession with gender conformity and knew she wanted to break the mould.

Whilst studying in London she met Valentin Yon, a French entrepreneur in the process of launching his own brand. The pair fell in love, moved to France and married; combining their interests and passions to launch FYU Paris.

Together, Clementine and Valentin believe it’s the responsibility of fashion brands to create clothes that make the wearer feel great, without adhering to old-fashioned gender codes. What started as a line of elevated basics soon became a much bigger project as the pair designed, challenged, and questioned at every step of the way. Whilst FYU Paris is unisex by nature, the couple feel the term ‘gender-free’ is more representative of the brand’s message within the fashion space: inclusivity, intention & change.
