Francesca Marchisio is an Italian designer and owner of an atelier in Reggio Emilia.
After graduated from the Marangoni Institute in Milan, in 2001 she won the MaxMara Award in Riccione Moda Italia and started to work as a designer for the Group. In 2007 she was one of the winners of Next Generation launched by Camera Nazionale della Moda and presents her first collection at Milan Fashion Week FW08.
In 2010 she opened her atelier and created Sacaporter, a project inspired by travel and transformation of modular garments. Francesca has ever worked as fashion consultant for several companies, some of them are Moorer and Paul & Shark.
In 2018 she launched the Francesca Marchisio brand with the aim of transforming the functional into design and reversible models into timeless objects. All materials are expertly crafted in Italy. The collection is distributed in luxury boutiques and international department stores.
The designer combines the emotion of fashion with the industrial design method to create authentic garments; she is actively engaging in the theme of sustainability by selecting raw materials, local suppliers and enhancing cutouts with her "Waste Couture" capsule.
