Four Threads, created by Alanagh Clegg during her Graduate year in The National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Inspired by a family business of hand crafting, her work explores the traditions of these techniques that have been passed down through generations. Furthering her studies at The Grafton Academy of Tailoring in Dublin, the work is carefully developed into a considered collection of garments, accessories and thoughtfully designed objects to transcend each season.

Using ethically sourced fabrics from local Irish Linen to hand woven Indian ‘khadi’ cotton, the cloth used celebrates their heritage of crafted textiles. The collection has been curated over time through a number of timeless garments which are made to be lived in and loved for a life time. New designs are gradually added with additions to fabric choices; including special projects creating limited edition garments working with artisan makers in India.

The approach to producing a Four Threads item draws from the four aims of our ethos: inspired, handmade, quality and conscious.
