Florina Marxer was born and raised in Liechtenstein a small country between Switzerland and Austria. For her studies in fashion design she moved to Berlin and graduated with honors in 2015 from ESMOD. As a designer Florina dares to work with colors and achieves unique designs with her handmade fabrics, fabric-manipulations and prints, which were awarded a price by an international jury at ESMOD.

SCHUPPLA

For her collection SCHUPPLA Florina got inspired by traditional clothing from Appenzell (CH) and especially one particular tradition where men dress up as women, wearing one meter high, heavily embroidered masks. The men's passion for embroidery and dressing up as women inspired the designer to create different handmade fabrics, textile manipulations and prints and also lead to experimenting with gender related colors and garments. All in all the collection gives a colorful impression of how much fun it can be to be a man.
