Graduation year

2002

Flavie Michou was born and raised by artist parents in Paris, France. She developed a passion for designing arts and crafts from a very young age.

Flavie got offered a place in the prestigious jewellery school Nicolas Flamel – Ecole Boulle after getting the highest score in the admission test, despite being just 15 years old.

During her goldsmith studies she was introduced to gemology and the painting of gold stones and pearls. She acquired the necessary skills in the assembling and modelling of jewellery, working with wax, metal and developed polishing skills. Her creativity and artistic interests lead her to a specialization in jewellery designing, obtaining the Bachelor of Arts and Higher in 2002 and 2003.

After graduating, Flavie did goldsmith work for different prestigious jewellery workshops for more than five years on the Grand Boulevard in Paris. She worked with gold and platinum mainly on pieces for brands as Cartier, Chaumet, Channel, Tiffany & Co and DeBeers, to name a few.

Flavie’s quest for adventures and travel, lead her to the England and Camden Town, where she decided to become self-employed working for different boutiques in the Hatton Garden area in the City of London, as well as for private customers.

Being surrounded by the inspiration of Camden’s Punk and Boho scene where many artists reside, Flavie decided to create her own collection.

During 2010 she embarked on a whirlwind summer in Lebanon in which she mastered the art of setting. Flavie then decided to launch her own collection, in which to immerse us in her own style that is unmistakably contemporary and unique.
