Award-winning milliner, Fiona Mangan is turning heads with her visually captivating headwear. Since setting up her Millinery label in 2011, she has been shortlisted for numerous prestigious fashion awards. Last year, she was awarded 'Irish Accessory Designer of the Year 2012' at the Kerry Fashion Awards. She won one of the internationally acclaimed Hatty Awards - an award given to only 25 designers in the world for their contribution to the hat industry. Fiona also secured one of 5 places in RTE's Brendan Courtneys' 'Who Wants to be a Milliner' final 2012.

Her hats have donned the winning ladies of a number of best dressed lady competitions and one of her creations was chosen as the 'Best Fascinator' at the Breeders Cup in Los Angeles, USA.

The designer has a degree in Architecture from DIT Bolton Street Dublin and practised as an Architect for 10 years. With the downturn in the construction industry, she switched her design focus to her lifelong passion, Fashion. For the most part, Fiona is self trained although she completed some dress design and millinery tuition. Combining this with her background in Architecture, she creates headwear that is unequivocally unique and iconic.

Fiona is driven by her innate raw talent and creates beautiful bespoke hats and headwear. Her style is edgy with a distinctly fresh and contemporary quality. Unique textures and textiles are incorporated into Fiona's designs. Using traditional millinery techniques along with both traditional and unconventional materials she creates truly original and a one-off creations.

Fiona's headwear reflects the modern woman - the delicate, ethereal female, that is still edgy, strong and unyielding.
