Our story began when we met 8 years ago in Vancouver. We bonded over a love of simple style, elegant design, and food.
In 2015 Karen got married! She couldn’t find a dress that matched her personal style and price point. There was a sleeve here and a neckline there, but never a complete dress that she loved. So the concept of a bodysuit and skirt was born; a unique take on bridal separates. Karen tested it for her own wedding, because she’s a risk-taker like that.
Meanwhile, Keira was living in the UK, working in Costume Design, and obsessing over her dog. She crashed Karen’s romantic honeymoon in Rome, and together they formalised the plan for Fern & Moon. Over many bowls of pasta and glasses of wine, a plan began to take shape.
A year and some more wine later, the company was established in Vancouver BC. From design to production everything is made locally. If you love simple style, elegant design, and food, then we think you will love Fern & Moon.
