Feiyang Zhang is an artist and designer based in London and New York.

During her undergraduate she was admitted to the fashion department at The Art Institute of Chicago under Nick Cave in 2015. After graduation she worked as freelance designer for Vivenne Tam and Sachin&Babi.

Specialised in textile and innovation design including material future, embroidery design and installation art. Seeking for opportunities to build a career in the creative field.

Living in the world full of creative minds, a huge number of artists dare to create the imagery of possible futures. As an artist who is obsessed with the imagination of utopian and dystopian futures, Feiyang wish to start from the stage of escaping from the reality world, with a reinforced sense of our own body.

Night tales

This collection is inspired by dark fairytales. I wrote my own stories, then created weird, enchanting characters then design garments that fit their “characteristic.”

For me, the very word “darkness” conjures all manner of things. Unknown. Unseen. Unimaginable. Unbelievable.

I have been enjoying the progress of making design through my own stories; by also incorporate my fabrics I created, I wish this collection could tell their own stories.
