My name is Lucian Artur Datcu, and I come from a family of famous tailors from Ploiesti, Romania, with a tradition of over a hundred years. The first company was founded by the great-grandfather in 1921 and had clients from the aristocratic society of those times and even the royal house of Romania. Unfortunately, I was born in a dark period in the history of Romania, the communist period, in which it was impossible to manifest your creativity in any field. However, I practically grew up in a workshop, and at the age of eleven, I made a product of my own for the first time. It was the moment when, I knew, that's what I want to do. I continued to gain technical knowledge of sewing and draping and I decided to go to the art high school in the city but in the same time working and improving my skills. revolution of 1989 broke the barriers that kept us away from the West and democracy and I had the chance to graduate fashion design at UNARTE BUCHAREST. Since then, I have continued to study new sewing techniques, draping, patterns, always trying to find my own style, a different approach, finding inspiration in nature and in everything that nature has created. I participated , throughout my career at numerous fashion shows and festivals, being awarded, ganing national notoriety. Recently, I decided to move to the next level, international visibility for my brand, and I am working on this with my daughter ioana cristina datcu, who is currently studying fashion design at IED Barcelona, ​​and who will proudly lead tradition further.
