Esther van den Berg obtained her Master’s in Business & Economics, and started her career in the banking division of one of the largest Fortune 500 companies. While building her client and business skills in this demanding environment, she also experienced just how difficult it can be to dress as a woman ‘going to the office’.
The challenges Esther herself faced in choosing suitable clothes for herself on a daily basis, ignited her desire to help her peers dress stylishly yet professionally. Sensing an acute need in the market, she decided to focus solely on this opportunity.Before embarking on the launch of Est.her, Esther made sure to establish her own fashion credentials first. Having gained experience at Vivienne Westwood in London, she formalized her knowledge through schooling in Fashion Design at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni.
With these experiences and insights, Esther formally launched her label in early 2011. The name chosen not only reflects the name of its founder; it also makes univocally clear for whom the products are designed: Est.her has been ‘Established for Her’. It captures the essence of the city lifestyle.
