EMMA GUILFOYLE

I am a proactive, enthusiastic and determined fashion design graduate, with skills in research, design, textile development, knitwear, trend analysis, CAD, pattern cutting and garment manufacture. I am proficient in both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and also have skills in Prima Vision and Microsoft Office packages. I am highly motivated, have good time management skills, and work well in a team especially when under pressure. I think one of my most distinguishing characteristics is my ability to adapt to new environments, situations and people. I am a quick learner and I would love the opportunity to demonstrate what I can do and learn/excel by being a part of an innovative design house/team. Whether this is in the UK, or Worldwide I am open for relocation and up for any challenge thrown my way!

I have recently graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a first class honours, in Fashion Design with sandwich placement. During my BA Fashion degree course I have shown both creative and commercial design, creating a final collection that is not only striking on the catwalk but commercially viable and wearable. I am constantly striving to achieve perfection in the cutting and fit of garments, always paying attention to finishes.I have an true appreciation for textiles/surface design and an intricate eye for detail, consistently aiming for innovation and individuality.

I have experience in Menswear, Knitwear, and Children'swear and created a Womenswear Final Collection for my degree. I have enjoyed and excelled in all areas of fashion, my favourite being Womenswear. However, this does not mean I am not willing to be flexible and pushed out of my comfort zone. I am willing and excited to work within any area of fashion design to further my skills and develop as a designer.
