Named after her great-grandmother, Eliza Vale is a collection of handcrafted jewellery pieces, designed by Textile designer Katie Townend. Originally from Manchester, Katie is currently based in Dublin. Since graduating from Brighton University in 2004 with a degree in Fashion Textiles Design, Katie has benefitted from a very diverse experience, from designing prints and embroideries for both international high street brands and high-end designers in New York to Soft Furnishings, Apparel and Accessories design in Dublin.

Launched in Autumn/Winter 2011/12, the collections give full expression to the concept statement accessories, encapsulating her love for Arts and crafts techniques, employed in the chicest way possible, embracing traditional cross-stitch and embroidery techniques, beading and macramé, evoking a charming, nostalgic, one-of-a-kind quality. Most designs are a mix of silks, leather, Swarovski Crystals, an array of different beads, and occasionally vintage pieces, for an eclectic and unexpected aesthetic.

Inspired by the Art Deco buiildings of New York where designer Katie Townend spent the beginning of her fashion textiles career designing embroideries and prints for international fashion labels, the collection gives fulll expression to the concept statement accessories, encapsulating a love for arts and crafts techniques, employed in the chicest way possible.

Embracing traditional cross-stitch and embroidery techniques, beading and macramé, each piece evokes a charming, nostalgic, one-of-a-kind quality. Using a mix of silks, leather, Swarovski Crystals, an array of different beads, and occasionally vintage pieces, each piece is meticulously handmade with every component hand-sewn giving the pieces an eclectic and unexpected aesthetic.

Since the official launch in January 2012 the label has attracted the attention of press. buyers, celebrities and stylists, as well as a growing ist of private clients.
