Having recently completed a degree in Fashion Knitwear, specialising in Womenswear, at Winchester School of Art, Elise creates bold, fun knitwear. She takes her inspiration from unexpected sources and enjoys incorporating mixed media into her knits to develop new and creative fabrics. Her outfits are bright and playful, and she combines a range of gauges, techniques and yarns to construct unusual, bold designs.

The Unappealing Everyday

Taking inspiration from urban surroundings and real-life photography, this collection captures the unappealing mess of the everyday, looking at what is typically perceived as haphazard and perhaps "ugly", and finding ways to transfer these imperfect and unexpected elements into knit. The collection emphasises the idea of taking something from nothing whereby inspiration has been extracted from a messy and "unattractive" urban environment and these ideas have been translated into knit within the creation of a 6 outfit collection, using a mix of techniques and gauges, with a range of materials including rope, plastic bags and recycled materials.
