The art of creating something tangible, desirable and timeless is Emma's passion. Since recently graduating from Loughborough University, her final accessories collection has been on show at three exhibitions and won her two awards - one was at a recent Fashion event at Belvoir Castle, featured in Tatler.
Emma discovered her passion for leather and accessories during her placement year in 2015, while working for a small fashion label in Brooklyn, NYC; Titania Inglis. Having never worked with the material before, she soon learnt how to treat and manipulate the hides into something beautiful, and was particularly drawn to the raw edge left after it had been neatly cut.
Global modern architecture has always been a large influence of Emma's work; the repetitions of geometric patterns and shapes is what inspired the surface textile of her handbags.

Architectural Reconstruction SS17

Architectural Reconstruction is a modern, fresh and high-end Spring/Summer accessories collection which combines contemporary architecture with the skeleton form.

The collection of handbags and scarves re-build the structure of particular pieces of global modern architecture, combined with the skeletal variations of the spine and rib cage. Curved geometry allows movement; the pieces flow and connect becoming joints through accent colours. Leather, neoprene, and metal enable clean lines that add sophistication through the multiples of shapes and variation in their size.
