Eleonora Gaskova

The founder of the hat store ICKA Mrs. Elena Budešová was born in 1924 in Košice in Slovakia.When she was 18,she made her childhood dream come true and opened her first hat shop in her hometown. The salon was named ICKA and was in Alžbětinská street.
In these time ladies often visited theaters and participated in various social events . It was a necessity to have a reprezentative hat or some hair accwssories for hair. Women were them not only for ceremonial opportunities but also in their daily lives. Therefore Mrs. Elena Budešová decided to extend and enrich her selection of hats with fashion accessories and hair decorations.
Since the year 1942 this enterprising businesswoman has made with her hands more than a thousand hats and satisfied countless customers.
The seventy year old tradition of handmade goods is being carried on by her daughter Eleonóra Gaškova and granddaughter Elonóra Gašková junior. Mrs. Budešová is enjoing her retirement.
