Electronic Sheep is two designers Brenda Aherne and Helen Delany. Brenda's background is in fashion. She has worked as a knitwear technology specialist and as an independent accessories designer before establishing Electronic Sheep. Brenda studied Fashion at NCAD (National College of Art & Design, Dublin). She did a post-graduate at LSAD (Limerick School of Art & Design) in knitwear and won several design awards one of which funded the start up of the label. Brenda lives in Dublin.
Helen's background is in Graphic Design and has worked as an art director in multi media and for magazines in New York, Rome and London. In addition to Electronic Sheep and personal graphic work Helen has designed and art directed for The Sunday Times Magazine, Swarovski, Glamour US and The V&A amongst others. Helen graduated from Dublin's National College of Art & Design and also studied at Central Saint Martins, London and The School of Visual Arts in New York. Helen lives in London.

TYPHOON PUPPETS - AW13 KNITWEAR COLLECTION BY ELECTRONIC SHEEP
'Typhoon Puppets' is inspired by a fascination with contemporary and fantasy meteorology.
Knitted collages mix up science, city, industry and girls resulting in tapestry-esque detailed
scenes. The jacquards result in a graphic collection of knitwear for AW13. While the language
and mathematics of weather influence designs specifically relating to the environment and
extreme climate, an underlying reconciliation of the natural order is evident. We are the
observers, instruments of these events, going about our business. We are typhoon puppets.
In true Electronic Sheep style there is a fun approach to this phenomenon. TVs, electric mixers
and take-away food cartons are combined with scientific drawings of fractals, fronts and storms.
Comic-style figures in glamorous apparel wade in water or dine in the rain. New to Electronic
Sheep for AW13 are fringed jumpers, patterned ponchos, 2D tasseled scarves, hooded triangles
and oversized circular scarves. In addition are their popular signature styles: hand drawn illustrative
triangles, supersize wraps, bobble hats and knitted collage turbans.
