Somerset College
For more than 150 years Somerset College has provided the highest standards of education and training using industry-standard facilities and resources. All of our courses are designed to meet employer's needs and to provide skills and knowledge relevant to work and employment.
Inspectors recently rated us as a 'Good' college' and 'Outstanding' in several areas. Our success rates are very high for both Further and Higher Education; our campus is vibrant; we have national awards in many areas and are specialists in health and social care, design and the creative industries. Amongst our many strengths is our growing expertise in renewable and green technologies. Part of this is our extensive experience of, and professional programmes for, sustainable construction. This area is a growing strength of the College and represents our response to new technologies that span many business sectors.

Head of School
Rachel Davies joined Somerset College as Principal from Uxbridge College in September 2007. She had spent eight years as Principal at the London College, and three years as Vice Principal. Prior to Uxbridge, Rachel had been involved in student services, staff training and general studies in colleges across the country. Rachel also set up residential courses students and managers in areas such as team building and leadership.
