Fashion & Fantasy | Part 11

A Monthly Curated Video Selection by Niccolò Montanari. Over the past few years, fashion film has been developing as a genre and breaking away from its traditional definition of fashion in motion. As a result, this creative medium is now being granted greater visibility and recognition across film festivals and events worldwide.

This genre now tends to brings together several creative industries, resulting in creative content with a strong sense of aesthetic able to merge the boundaries between fashion, film, music, theatre and advertising. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend Aesthetica Short Film Festival, an event that caters to short films across several genres. The selection below is my personal pick, based on films that stood out for their ability to express visually the director’s vision and story of the film.
