Unveiled at London Fashion Week 2014, the Auto Couture Collection from D’Ora Tokai embraces Monte-Carlo’s motoring history and the royal heritage of the Principality.

Whilst the new collection has unique inspirations, creative designer Dora Tokai has decided to continue with the themes that characterise the brand. The meandering contours of these dynamic outfits pay homage to the classic curvature of the traditional automobile. This collection explores two styles of sartorial elegance, the Palaci outfits adopt a regal appearance, whilst the Celu garments take a more celestial influence. Both parts of the Auto Couture Collection take their name from the Monegasque language, Palaci meaning palace and Celu meaning sky.

This innovative collection includes a range of suits, jackets, evening gowns and skirts. A diverse variation in material from recycled faux fur to fine leathers and organic cottons provides the opportunity for sartorial exploration without neglecting the collection’s inspiration. Meanwhile, the modish yet versatile velvet makes its second appearance in a D’Ora Tokai lookbook. The material is very much in fashion this year and makes a fantastic addition to any collection.
