We - Dombon-a-tanya - recreate well known objects in a contemporary way, which should transmit the Hungarian culture and its values.
In our objects we unite the knowledge of craftsman generations and the modern and clear-out way of thinking and design. This philosophy makes forgotten, outmoded things exciting again.
Every day’s uniqueness
Dombon-a-tanya contains groups of objects, which are applied for everyday use. We show how much value, idea and knowledge can be found in fabricated objects and that routine tasks can be lovely, bethought and inspirable as well. We help to find the beauty in every days things through our object, and though the usage of them.
The importance of experiment
Dombon-a-tanya doesn’t want to do more, than redefine objects. Our goal is to find the point where the craftsman traditions meet the contemporary design to make objects more clear-out and puritan. Another goal is to give an opportunity to experiment with the given tasks and to find our own system and the joy in them.
To respect objects
The objects created by Dombon-a-tanya are for everyday use, but contrary to nowadays objects we focus on endurance. The unnecessary finery is not the aim, there is nothing which hasn’t a purpose or a crucial role in the object’s life. Instead of throw-away things we create objects where the clear idea joins a clear shape.
