I became the youngest, most creative and some could say the craziest of a loving family of four.

From my early years I showed interest in art, studying music, painting and even acting, but it wasn’t until my teenage years when I had to choose the path of my professional career, going for the more stable one, I chose a major in communications with specialization in creative marketing and advertising, but hadn’t forgotten about my true passion I chose a second career in music composition and film.

Hadn’t this been enough I chose to study my fourth language, Chinese, which attached to my enormous adventurous sense, my love for cultures and the unknown, led me to Shanghai China, where I landed several jobs in video production companies, which re-open the doors of a passion I had forgotten about; The fashion world.

My love for cultures and color defines my style, but I believe clothes are not only made to look beautiful, clothing can also be a powerful transmitter of messages, messages that will create an identity and will define who we are in the world we live in and what we want from it, messages that can transmit and inform current situations that will make us change our way of life and start living a morally good one. I actually believe I can change the world through fashion.

My feelings are the reflection of drive and emotions of a rebellious soul who doesn’t like status quo.

I’m a mix of cultures, Asian and Latin American over all, but part of my life has been dedicated to travel around the world where I have had the chance to absorb everything about the cultures I encounter.

I consider myself a very empathic person who communicates through creations a message that can help the social change.

They drink beer, they are part of the local government the economy and they are symbol of good luck and blessing in a family, they are the Muxes, the third gender that exists since the pre-columbian era in a small town in Oaxaca called Juchitan, this are male born people who assume feminine roles and are incredibly well accepted in society, they are not considered better or worst than men or

women they are simply different...

In a male dominant society where the roles and the activities of men and women are well defined; stigmatization and marginalization does not exists for this third gender.

My collection represents an example, a possibility in our society of acceptance and tolerance, everyone should be consider as a fundamental part of our family our society, our working life, no one should suffer discrimination and that is exactly what the Muxes stand for; a perfect example of an inclusive society of acceptance, of respect to differences to beliefs and life styles.

The collection is a refelection of contrast between urban and traditional, modernity and tradition, it is the clash between a new thinking, a genderless society and a traditional one. We are product of our cultural conditioning, and it is necessary to challenge what we have been conditioned to believe.

There is a long way to cover to get to the level

of Juchitan but if we stop looking to the side and start focusing on

us, something will have

to be learn as a society and perhaps tolerance and respect will become a trend.
