DESIGN WORKERS

Design Workers (London) is a modernist inspired independent menswear label. We draw influences from workwear and sportswear, elevating these references through refined fabrication techniques. Our pieces are hand made in England in small runs, and each carefully crafted garment is part of a limited edition of no more than fifty pieces.

We define ourselves as Design Workers because the process of design and construction are core to our philosophy: elements of fabrication such as seams and fastenings give our garments their identity. We think that it is not enough for garments to be either beautiful or functional they must be both.

Design Workers draw inspiration from the great innovators of 20th century design and art. In particular the Constructivists and Bauhaus designers of the twenties, whose work has a purity of line, colour and composition which we seek to capture in our design.

Design Workers London is the sister label of Design Workers Seoul established by Jay McCauley Bowstead and Han Him Park.
