One of the symbols of the city of Lima, Sarita Colonia has a massive popular following. Her history made her an icon for many people. This season, DaCity honors her by taking a trip to the capital where cultural mixing gave birth to Chicha Culture, synonym of exaggeration, joy and festivity. Thus, woolen clothing and knitwear become a must and, with an audacious overload of flashy colors, “Por la Sarita” turns daily routine into an explosive celebration.
Both the embroidery and the mix of prints give a hint of contemporaneity whereas the belted volume, inspired from Peruvian traditional dresses, takes us back to the folklore and highlights the femininity of a joyful and open-minded woman.
