The collection, Band of Brothers, celebrates the lives and times of the men in the armed forces and their bonding in the line of duty. It takes inspiration from the soldiers of the easy company, as portrayed in the American World war 2 series by the same name.

Using the vintage military silhouettes like the M 65 Field jackets, trenches and overcoats, flight bombers to name a few, the surface textures include hand painted and printed camouflaged clouds and waves, terrainian and birds eye view landscape, finger prints and maize. Another special element added to the silhouettes is finely hand embroidered encrypted messages in morse code, the way of secret communication back then.

The fabrics and textiles used range from heavy linens, khadi cotton, handloom bamboo and cotton silk blends, along with crinkled flax.

The meaning of life is not celebrating your birth, but celebrating your work.

A line from Shakespeare’s Henry V speech reiterated in the series by the company commander instilling josh amongst his men before the quest is what becomes the soul of this collection.
