Constance Blackaller is a London based fashion designer and illustrator with a lifelong background in fine art. Having graduated from BA Fashion Design in 2016, she has experience working for Céline, Stella McCartney and Burberry Prorsum among other luxury brands during her placement year. Since the launch of her collection, Constance’s work has been picked up by industry press including Dazed & Confused, Hunger Magazine and British Vogue. Most recently, she was a finalist for the H&M Design Award 2017. She has also taken part in styling projects for online magazines. Her work pulls inspiration from a variety of cultural, artistic and historical sources, creating unexpected links between concepts and fabrics, and experimenting with proportions with silhouette and draping to create a powerful, avant-garde aesthetic. Her illustrations, which mirror the vibrant contrasts and energy of her designs, combining intricate photorealism and collage, are to be published in internationally selling books in the coming year.
